The Polish community in Montreal celebrated the end of the harvest season – traditional feast “Dożynki”.

The ceremonies included the Holy Mass in the Church of Our Lady of Czestochowa (including the blessing of harvests) and the official part that took part at the premises of the White Eagle Society (speeches, presentation of information on harvesting customs, artistic part: folklore performances from Poland - "White Eagle Academy", Philippines - "Pamana" and Quebec "Les pieds Legers").

At this year's harvest festival in Montreal, a delegation from the Ministry of the Environment led by Secretary of State Paweł Sałek took part. Polish Ambassador’s wife Agata Wrzoł-Kurnicka, the Consul of the Republic of Poland in Ottawa Aleksandra Kucy and the Polish Consul in Montreal Michał Faleńczyk also participated.

The celebrations coincided with the 115th anniversary of the founding of the White Eagle Society, the oldest Polish organization in Canada.
