On the anniversary of the World War I’s end, Montreal commemorated the Remembrance Day – the day of commemoration of the soldiers killed in the conflict.

Representatives of city authorities (Montreal’s mayor Denis Coderre and mayor-elect Valerie Plante), members of the local consular corps (representatives from France, Great Britain, Belgium, the USA and South Korea), as well as representatives of the veterans' organizations attended the official commemorative ceremony that took place in Montreal.

Poland was represented by the Consul of the Republic of Poland in Montreal Michal Falenczyk and the President of the Polish War Veterans Society, Jozef Foltyn, who laid wreaths at the monument of soldiers fighting in World War I, World War II and the Korean War, at the Square of Canada in Montreal.
