    Consulate of Poland in Montreal hosted a concert by Polish pianist Rafał Łuszczewski.

    The works of Polish composers Karol Szymanowski, Grażyna Bacewicz and Fryderyk Chopin (details of the concert in the program enclosed) were presented. Information on the professional life of the composers and the circumstances of the creation of their works was also presented.


    The concert attracted numerous representatives of the Polish community in Montreal, members of local consular corps and Montreal fans of classical music.

    Rafał Łuszczewski – Polish musician, who studied at the Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland and completed several other studies, including postgraduate concert studies at the Higher School of Music in Weimar. He made his world debut at the age of 16 with the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra in Japan, touring in North and South America, Asia, Australia, Africa, the Middle East and almost all European countries. His concert repertoire includes 30 works for piano with orchestra. He has won numerous international competitions and festivals, records for radio and television. He has also developed pedagogical activity. A visiting professor and lecturer at universities, international piano courses and festivals in Poland and abroad. He is an inspirer and artistic architect of the Peruvian International Piano Competition of Fryderyk Chopin. More about Rafał Łuszczewski's work in his biography and reviews on his work.
